Amsterdam has an oceanic climate with few extremes in temperature. Summer months (June to August) bring temperatures between 69 to 78 degrees F, while winter has average temperatures between 38 and 47 degrees F.
Beaches
Amsterdam is not particularly well-known for its beaches, there are a few on the periphery of the city, including Strand Zuid, Strand West and Strand IJburg.
