Same-sex marriage in Ireland is now legal. Couples should check with the local county that they wish to marry, as requirements vary. In general, marriage by registrar’s certificate requires three months written notice of intention to wed. Birth certificates and a residency period may also be required. Dublin and Kildare have a relatively consistent maritime climate with mild winters and cool summers. The average temperature in January is 48 degrees F and the average temperature in July is 68 degrees F.
Beaches
Often surprising to its visitors are the number of pretty beaches that dot the coast near Dublin. Many of the beaches, including Seapoint Beach and Killiney Beach are good for kayaking and catching site of local wildlife in the summer months.

For history lovers, Dublin’s distinguished Trinity College houses the Book of Kells, a world-famous biblical manuscript painstakingly scribed by monks around 800 A.D. The city is also filled with green space and urban markets, along with gems like Grafton Street for boutique shopping. Kildare Country offers even more breathtaking landmarks such as Castletown House and the Irish National Stud.
