Overview
Overview
Named for its resemblance to a large, reclining woman, Virgin Gorda is a seductively slow-paced and unobtrusive island. The island’s volcanic origins are evident everywhere, with giant boulders and quiet grottos lining the shores from eruptions that happened eons ago. Accessible only by water, the Bitter End Yacht Club is exclusive and luxurious- though that doesn’t mean you need to bring your shoes. On land, the Virgin Gorda Peak offers a hiking trail for panoramic BVI vistas. Or, try a glass-bottom boat tour for incredible water views and a trip to the remote caves and coves of the island.

Same-sex marriage is not currently recognized under the law in the BVI. For information about symbolic ceremonies, check with your Certified Destination Wedding Specialist.
